be that guy.
    you know, 
the one who still
    sends her flowers.
the one who still
    compliments her.
the one who still
    surprises her with a kiss.
the one who still
    tells her she's pretty.
but especially,

do these things
    from your heart...

Connie Marcum Wong July 8, 2017 at 8:49 PM Well, I guess my husband is that guy. He buys me fresh roses every week. He never tells me I'm pretty, but the roses have a way of saying that to me. By the way we've been married over 35 years. A good marriage takes effort from both parties. Your poem expresses wise advice.
