Be Resilient, Be Patient

Here's the thing, I just wanna help you in anyway I can
While you were telling me to leave at anytime I could have ran

I love you a lot but I made a promise in many different ways
I also couldn't imagine never again seeing my little girls face

My family is worth any ounce of ego any amount of pride
Take all that from me if, pain and fear from my kids I could hide

The only pride I need is through them growing up right before my eyes
I can hardly look at pictures in fear I'll start to cry

Looking forward to the future while still missing the past
The hope you have for what's to be mixed with the time you wished would last.
