Be Proud

Sunlight streaks across the floor
With Autumn just outside my door
And blue sky stretching overhead.
Fall’s holding on by just a thread.

As Winter’s ice hangs in the air
And dry leaves scatter everywhere
I think about the year gone by,
The many things I couldn’t try

And all the ways we learned to cope.
We shed our tears yet learned to hope.
So many things that came to be
Showed us our true humanity.

So let the seasons spin around.
Be proud of all the things we’ve found
And all the things that we have done
To make each day a special one.
