Be my Peace, I've got enough Pain

My heart is weary, my soul is worn From the weight of struggles, the sting of scorn I've walked through fire, and weathered the rain And I'm searching for solace, a refuge from the pain Be my peace, my shelter from the storm My calming presence, my gentle form I've got enough pain, enough heartache and woe I need your soothing balm, your peaceful glow In your arms, I find my peaceful nest A place to lay my weary head, and find my rest Your love is my solace, my comfort and my guide Be my peace, my love, and let my heart reside So let the world outside, with all its strife and pain Fade into the background, as I bask in your peaceful reign For with you by my side, I know I'll be alright Be my peace, my love, and fill my heart with light.
