Be My Love

Stay with me and be my love
And we will prove all pleasures
Along the hills of a mountain side
On an island in the ocean

we can sit upon the rocks
And watch the waves move the sand
By a shallow river to where it falls
Seeing the birds among the roses

Lying in a field so lush
Gazing into the sky, watching the clouds move
Listen to a brook breathe life
And nature whisper its music

Dancing in the sunlight to every sound
Mesmerized by the twinkle in your eyes
If you are moved by such delights
Then stay with me and be my love

LOL. that is why you see me a lot on your page, I'd never close the year on poetry soup, without saying thank you to all the poets on my favorite list. This was a charming piece. Though, I wonder how your feelings are now compared to when this was originally written in '92. Maybe write a follow-up?
