Be My Guide
I know my weaknesses
and I despise them,
especially my inability
to react
to those bastards
who sought to destroy
my fragility
This is a fact
To walk away?
A sign of cowardice?
or strength?
To draw deep,
before my courage begins to seep
Why can't I retaliate?
This paralyzing state
My lack of confrontation
My weakness
These things that grate,
the things I hate,
in my self
This force within
be my guide
Confront my reality
for I have tried,
this spirituality
for I do want to win
It is a hard thing...
to find.........
Courage to bring,
what you left behind,
what you have tried........
Be my guide
To lift one's head,
release the clench from your heart
Ignore what is said
Before you start
You know I have tried...............
Be my guide
These limited people too.............
how mean and small............
their lives are,
and what they do
The names they call
They just want you...........
to fail
These limited people fail
So personally inside
So miserably outside
They have no guide,
for often they have tried,
to take my guide,
on my lifes' trail
These people have tried
How small!
When they know,
you walk tall,
and you have a guide
