Be Happy
Be happy, graceful soul, said I to a lover torn and tormented
Be happy, why do you cry, why do you fret over the unnecessary
Do you need love to feel complete, see you it not as being mere slavery
I am sure that with yourself, you are not even acquainted!
Why, did you not read the words from the book of mankind
Do you not know that you are made from the divine
That in you, lies a whole universe
That with you, the whole of creation does always converse
Yes, indeed, it's true, why should you lament over lost love
Looking at you, I am sure the Lord of the Heavens many a sigh does heave
Love does be you, love does be in you, love does be your breath
Pray, love does be in your very birth!
Why else would you be walking around
Why else would it be tested, the might of your frown
Do you not know that Earth is but part of the voyage
That someday, you shall wake up to a more peaceful paysage
See you, I can only wish you to be happy
Happy, like me
Mind you, I say it with a load of humility
Yes, pray, be happy when faced with each of your misery
Tested you shall not be forever
The Great Lord does be so clever
He does see, mind you, He does see, even if He remains hidden
So pray, smile, laugh and be happy; pray, be not so torn, so sullen!
