Be God's Greeter

Do not let gloom get in your way
at start of day.
God gave the sun
to everyone.

When the sun shines, borrow a beam
and let it gleam
inside your soul.
Swallow it whole!

Let it light a smile on your face.
Radiate grace.
Be God's greeter.
Make life sweeter!

How pretty - a light-weight feel enticing one to embrace the moment. I bet this well written gem took shape fairly quickly with your talented pen. A joy to read. LOVE ... CayCay

Congratulations on your win Andrea! So many wonderful lines but I especially love the concept of being an ambassador for God - God's greeter! If we all embraced that idea this world would be a truly amazing place - sweet Heaven!

A very positive poem Andrea, and perfect for the contest, I think Sara makes a valid point when depressed you honestly don’t notice the sun shining, but that’s a whole different story, for a different poem, definitely a big contender, best of luck, cheers David

For those feeling truly depressed it is not as easy as it seems. Sunlight and exercise do help overcome depression but it is hard for a depressed person to get that far. I enjoyed reading your contest entry. Reads like a good contender to me. Way to go! Sara
