Be Free
Like a ticking time bomb I want to say,
All the things I really thought but I couldn't say,
This is my space, this is my heart poured out,
I don't need to say fancy words or hide in doubt,
I'm not here to impress you, or make you believe,
That I have more wisdom or knowledge, this is just me,
Why? Why do you try so hard?
To make people believe you have this untouchable heart,
You can't use everyday words to convey,
Sometimes I wonder if you yourself even know what you say,
Like your creating your own dictionary, boy.. please,
Stop hiding behind the books you recite, be real with me,
What good is that if people can't understand,
You're giving off an image, that's not you, man,
Sorry if you don't like what I say,
But the truth is that's part of your insecurity and pain,
You use this to look bigger and better than the rest,
But do you understand that just being you is the best,
That underneath all that talk is who you truly are,
And that you don't need to prove to anyone that your smart,
Your heart is amazing just be you,
I don't think you understand that I can see through,
By the way, get offended, but get over it quick,
Because if I wanted the scholar, I would do my own dig,
The real you is better, I want you to see,
Don't you want that freedom, don't you want to be free?
