Be As Lonely As You Choose To Be
Be as lonely as you choose to be,
discover yourself and invent words
from thoughts, be that mysterious sea...
the deeper you delve into it, the more amazing
it becomes...expand your narrow horizons,
take imagination farther with each thrilling feeling!
Who really wants to be an obscure poet
and write endless verses kept into drawers
ultimately yellowed by time, never discovered by others;
wouldn't have been easier to be a Monet...
painting lively images instead of writing hundreds of poems?
Be as lonely as you choose to be in your concepts of symmetry,
never letting your pen stray from those truths perceived analyzing
the amazing works of the Masters and interpreting them fairly;
could they increase your knowledge, perception, and understanding?
Blame Virgil, blame Dante, blame Shakespeare for their insights,
for their tremendous influence on your dramatic writings;
was their inspiration a spark that ignited the passion...
rather than the curiosity of taking them to a greater dimension,
and be awarded the ivory crown only reserved for kings,
for elites being praised in repulsive or emotional verses by these poets?
