Be Aloof I Love Loofs

Be aloof i love loofs
Always apart but never a part
Never a like but somehow alike
Never aligned but destined to follow a line
The tar stars are dripping through the night sky
Words stick like jam between my teeth
Phrases gravitate towards me
Words fall deathly into mud graves and settle
Dying in place
Struggle to find that space where light and dark will never meet
As i stare forward ask me what i see
Not the metal or stone
The seconds counting till the end
The warping space that shapes the all
The scurried ant that conquers tiny foes and woes
I try to see everything
but hide behind myself

Wittily done, the words are spectacular in this poem, especially the play on them.
