Battle Weary

Yet with loyal friendship
we will get through...

with the challenge set
the gauntlet strewn...

our tired hearts and minds
our bodies yawn...

we'll rehash the turmoil
of this very day-

together we stood the test
we marched on through-

for together with shared
spirit we conquered-

with shared spirit
we always do...

do not decorate my
chest with tin medals...

this battle will not ever end

we have survived another day...
this the reality...our defense
our lives we do not pretend...

we once harbored you
we have since harnessed fear...

we are now in control...
revenge is mine sayeth the lord...

...be prepared
