Battle Or War

Things have changed Since we met But there are things That we should forget. There is a battle Or maybe a war That’s going on between us Like never before. You say you love me I say I hate you But the truth is I love you too. We always argue Over dumb things And say things that We both don't mean. I know it's hard for you But just understand That all I ever wanted Was a loving, caring dad. Maybe it's me Or maybe it's you 'Cause I know I have a temper But I know you do too. We need to communicate Just like you said But all you do is Lay on your bed. I’m tired of all this stress I know there's more to come One day they will forgive me For all the things I have done. I’m tired of running From all this pain I just need a hug Or to be loved again. Dad, I’m sorry For all the things I do I hope you forgive me 'Cause I forgive you.
