Battle Lost
Have you ever fought for your life,
Ever begged the demons to let you drop the knife,
Im always looking for a new high of a new drug,
Drinking anything they pour in my cup,
I would say its to escape reality,
But in reality its just me hoping for a fatality,
I know your scared i promise i have been there too,
I luckily made it out like a few,
But most people cant climb outta that hole,
Waiting for it to be covered up not realizing there death has a greater tole,
On the outside i might be smiling,
But on the inside im really dying,
If these thoughts do end up taking my life,
Just know i tried to drop that knife,
But i couldnt bring myself to drop it and walk away,
So here i am on the floor and i bleed as i lay,
Praying to wake up and see that it was all just a dream,
But to me what does life even mean?
I see these people with the happy life then i look at me,
I bet i look happy too but deep down is what you needed to see,
Maybe you could have prevented this and my life wouldnt have been the cost,
But this was just one of the many battles that i lost..
