Battle For Night and Day

dusk brings about a silence
 so deafening
as if the sun made an alliance
 with the evening

 darkness engulfs it’s right
it fights and scatters it’s orange and red hues
the battle lost with the night
 brings blackness suffuse

 with the light at bay
 to regain its might
she waits for a new dawns day
 for the undivided light
