Batter Up

The air was full, pregnant,
shivering with anticipation.
All of nature held its breath.
The trees stood their small branches,
like eyelashes tensely open,
waiting for the day to blink.

This is incredible,Deb.Finally getting to some of these winner lists hidden way in the back. I wish they were up front where people could readily see them! The eyelashes line was awesome. congrats. I think this is one I either "blinked" and missed it, or I simply lost!!
