Baton Pass

I came into this world
Crying
Felt hunger and discomfort
Fell sick, too often
Went to school and worried about having friends
Occasionally got bullied
Frequently felt embarrassed
Feared my marks weren’t high enough
Fought with failure
Worked hard every day
For a roof over my head
For food to eat
Found a man to care for
Nurtured a pregnancy we wanted
Then when my child
Came into this world
She cried.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

Of course! Coming into a culture where you do not speak the language is quite frustrating because, no matter what you have accomplished, you must start again from scratch! Aloha! Rico
