Bathing In the Grass At Lower Onieda
Over my head I see the silver stars
Dancing on a single black stage
Brightly shinning like my lovers eyes
Down the grassy hill behind the neglected marsh
The midnight sounds of crickets and fireflies flood our ears
To my right
The lapping of Lake Ladore against two canoes
The aroma of salty seaweed and dewy grass invade our senses wrapping and
covering us
I lean back with a kiss fresh in my mouth and a smile on my lips
A group of bats dive and swoop above us, playing with the night
I have wasted my life.
