Bat
Bat
At day I hide from din
When silence prevails at night
I venture out to feed my soul
And perch on the boughs of words
Up side down
And covertly wait for a prey
An idea comes
And I, with my pen, pounce upon him
It is a feast
And I quickly finish a quatrain
The joy I get
More than the company of a woman
Or a pack of wine.
Before I cool down
Before I put down a period
At the end of the poem
I elevated myself
And become the king of the nocturnal kingdom
None is here to unsettle me
I am absolutely alone
In the jocund company of my pleasure moment
But I hurriedly come back to hide in a cave
Before uncle sun rises with a red face
To be a normal human being again.
