Baseball Dream

The Mets are on the radio
    They are behind
It will take me a little time
to unwind
   I have wandered
In Middle Earth, Barsoom and Chelm
Still to me baseball is the "coin of the realm"
      The nightime battle is here
And no, I no longer drink beer
    If you are not
a player of the first rank
You still have a good annoucer to thank
    The game is just starting
It's the fourth inning
       The game is about winning

The sun is shining bright here this morning in Ohio and I am enjoying reading some very interesting and excellent writing. So happy to see yours among the ones I am able to read this fine day before I get busy. Have a wonderful day and thank you so much for sharing your poetry with us Matthew. Love, Carol
