Baroque Spring
"Baroque Spring"
Viewed externally
I am the Winter House
Internally I am too too much
I am eternal Baroque Spring
He watches his
mirror twin
and assigns fatal love
to the mind swing
pushing away feelings
logic surely is the burning
answer to bury the madness
of all things
where the heart
has no contemporary
measure of the value
in the metronome ticking
annoying small time of things
he picks up the pen and begins
his sharp sword of recompense
her heart is strawberry jam on toast
delicious
machinations
confectionary dreams
she lights fireplaces for him
running through empty halls
labyrinthine and music
she brings in fresh strings
red that lead the way
to the core of all misplaced
misspent homeless corridors
of hard times and lost things
violins the chords for undoing
in the cool evasiveness
of the forgotten hymn
he finds himself humming
he sings of all things
romantico
he becomes
harp strings for
her plucking of all things
fantastical fantasy
he dreams his dreams
in his Winter house
hidden she resides inside him
Baroque Spring
Romanticism
he wins
minuets in poetry
and some small wit
in the cold house of him still exists
the Heart sits
hearing her music
logic dissolves
becoming hide and seek
compound duple rhythm
canarie frog legs beat
he brings her through
the Winter mirrors
pas de bourrée
the dancing lines of beauty
strange words exchanging
closed sentences
for love of all things
elevating dead dimensions
blizzards in the heart
turn rose petals
falling from angels mouths
kisses from heaven above
passionate
in the music
mind fields felt blindly
fast and furious
bows burning played
come undone curling toes
and hearts stradivarius
Winter disappears
on the mind swing
he holds her close
they are in tune
cooing turtle doves

"Come, Madam, come,
all rest my powers defy,
Until I labour, I in labour lie."
"Our hands were firmly cemented
With a fast balm, which thence did spring;
Our eye-beams twisted, and did thread
Our eyes upon one double string;
So to'intergraft our hands, as yet
Was all the means to make us one,
And pictures in our eyes to get
Was all our propagation."
