Notes About The Poem

Barks And Laughter

When the squirrels start playing outside
My dog rushes to the door barking and whining.
Memphis, an 80-pound big, brown bulk
Really believes he can catch a squirrel.
Once the door is open, he races to the fence
Pacing back and forth with his head raised
While all the squirrels are laughing.
