Barely a Sigh
Casual intersecting
of a chance pedestrian meeting
Barely a glance given,
to see ... if the green light
meant STOP —
Danger lies ahead
One step beyond,
in the yellow tape zone
Curb that infatuated enthusiasm,
don’t yield
to the scented temptation
Pheromone signals are blinking red,
a restless body
is walking into the wrong
Barely a gawker sigh was given,
when the accident occurred
A pulsing vehicle took out the legs ...
another crash dummy on life support,
because they lost their head
Tear bleeding critical,
on a not-so-innocent bystander beg
