Barefoot Dreams
She walks a surreal life,
pinching herself
making sure everything is real;
she wondering about the boy she use to know,
her heart wanders back and forth,
no one... no one understands.
She sits on the curb,
walks over the drawbridges of endless decisions,
with smiles and laughs,
she hides deep, dark, depressing dreams
that tear her apart one after another.
Turned away for misunderstanding love,
her heart runs wild,
killing her soul and darkening her mind.
Lost, she looks at the water below,
and gives a somber grin as she decides to jump.
Lost, she walks barefoot on broken glass, shards of
broken promises and misleading feelings;
she loses herself as she tries to regain her true self.
Calmed by a heart beat,
and a light at the end of her dark tunnel,
she decides to not jump into paradise
and waits to love again.
To hear truth again, she leaves the drawbridge
that swings back and forth the winds of love;
she cant feel herself walk barefoot
on those broken dreams that cut her delicate feet.
Looking for bandages to heal the heart,
that kills her and befriends her every time she wanders off
into the sunset and sunrise of surreal love,
I cannot imagine what kills her deep inside that pretty, little mind
of hers.
She sings her pain away,
writing songs of sweet sorrow and heartbreak,
singing for the pain to let go, just one, she wants peace,
fly like a bird
and shout
and sing
and love again,
that boy that she gave herself away to.
Anything in the world, she'd throw away,
to just spend one everlasting moment,
with that boy she loved before.
