Barefoot
BAREFOOT
Literally : shoeless
We think of a thief
Caught flat-footed on the act.
Like Colton Harris-Moore
Who was known as a “Barefoot Bandit”
Barefoot has other interpretations
It can mean young
Having an inexperienced, unadulterated , pristine mind
Possessing triple ‘V’ vision, vim and vigor.
But at times
A child/man of poor social standing
May walk barefooted
Increasing deadly risks of infection.
To me:
Barefootin’ as well as cavorting in the sand
Hand in hand with a love one
My pet, Bugsy, running, following behind
Are tender memories tattoed in my heart and mind.
