Bare Thoughts

If I could put how you made me feel in poetry, I wouldn't be trying still. I would lay my thoughts naked, honest and bare, nothing like your episodes. I told my friends 20 stories about myself, perhaps in only one you had a vague appearance. I laid on my back, falling deep into the shallow sea. A place where riptide can still sweep me my end. But yet I floated. I allowed the currents to be stubborn. I grinned at the azure daylight, sea salt crystallised on my wounds. Somebody, I saw flashbacks down the memory lane again- Something I tried to skip. What used to be sweet is now bitter, like a cup of bland coffee- not an every-day treat, not a guests' favourite, never what you meant to me.
