Bare

One of these day, I will
Retrieve what is lost and
Plunge into those dark
Crevasse, that is my gut.

One of these days, I will
Surrender the ponderous
Weight on my shoulder,
That doesn't let me move.

One of these days, I will
Load a gun from the past
And infiltrate my mind of
The memories, to forget.

One of these days, I will
Set fire to the tiny heart
You left behind and make
You fall in love over again.

Dark...and very pretty! Your potent serpentine vulnerability hit me in a very real and raw way!!
