Barbie Dolls

Plastic, fake,perfect,
lushious hair and artificial body
no flaws or imperfections

Inside, who are they really?
Conceited? Insecure? Lost without a cause?
Impeccable on the outside but what lies within?

Don't strive to be like everyone else,
just another Barbie doll walking by.
Be unique and be yourself don't let the opinions of others reign supreme.

Be true to you and real to your feelings,
not a perfect and fake doll on a shelf.
Motionless, expressionless, plastic, unmoving-
A Barbie doll like thousands of others.

A great message for anyone. I think so many people in society have that herd mentality - where they are just following what everyone else is doing. Staying true to yourself is key! Always, Laura
