Barbara and Her Knight

gown great on Barbara
       black-white stripes of the zebra
              on deep green okra

with her he stands stiff
       a knight in shining armor
              his neck sprained, rumor

but dragons he slew
       were but tiny dragonflies
              laughter in her eyes !
