Banished

Banished

have you seen the man with long arms walking down your street by sight

have you seen the man with a long face because he's nowhere to sleep tonight

have you ever seen a light that shone then taken away by someone Else's spite

have you seen the man who sees the rain and then cries all through the night

have you seen a man that's crippled but yet he's begging for a fight

have you seen of anything that's so wrong that heaven's not so white

have you seen him with a long coat and a beard just sitting by the light

have you seen people pass him but take no notice because they are just alright

have you seen a star that shines in your eyes that seems so very bright

have you got anything more than a man who sleeps with strangers as the devil might invite
