Bananas

Bananas Leaf six feet long fingertip to elbow wide fat red flower dangling from bottom of the bunch we watch as each petal falls and when the last one drops to the ground Fruit is ready to pick and ripen succulent and sweet razor sharp machete severs the whole stalk and tomorrow another takes its place as we devour rice and garlic shrimp from banana leaf plates...
