Ballroom Delights

With an earnest smile he asks me to dance He is as nervous as I, I can judge by his stance He glides me the floor and we began to prance His distinctive manly smell puts me into a trance His hand encircles my waist as our feet take flight My breath sharply quickens, is my corset tied to tight I fit perfectly his arms despite differences in height I know my life will be forever changed this very night Our hands clasped together, his eyes locked with mine Electric shocks felt everywhere, definitely a tell-tale sign "I love your teal blue dress", he says, "you look divine" "And your lips fascinate me they are the color of wine" "Thank you kind sir", a sudden blush reddens my face With a grin he twirls and dips me with amazing grace He reaches for my hair tie and releases it from the lace "Your undeniably beauty madam truly lights up this place" I smile for I know that he is equally smitten and sincere We dance through the night, just wanting to stay near He whispers, "I want to dance with you forever my dear" Undoubtedly I know we'll be dancing like this year after year 01/05/2014
