Balloon

Today I am a child
All blue and
Melting into the pavement
Missing something
Spectacularly small

It is round and yellow and left me
To join his friend in the corner of the sky.

For now I cannot imagine ever going on
Without my balloon of happiness
Entwined between my fingers

But happiness isn't a balloon
Happiness is finding the wings to join it
And never looking back.

It is a very...balloonish poem. :) Happy and round and childish. Great job! :)
