Baleshare Beach

Brief visitations with each restless tide,
mysterious creatures with outstretched wings,
or fairy ballerinas ruby-eyed.
Such ocean denizens each new wave brings,
so soon to be erased, to vanish without trace,
to reassemble in another time and place.

Thank you Connie. I have also lived on an island- the Isle of Arran in Scotland. Many thanks for your comment.

This poem made me smile with happiness. At last, I thought, someone who sees into the real world as do I on lucid days. I shall put this into my treasure box and read it many times,

More to imagination than most people imagine. If we can think it, it can become a physical reality. Admire the sensitive way you look at the world, Peter. You see beyond the surface. Great little write. Very revealing of yourself in the best of ways. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you Joe for this comment. The poem is about sand patterns on a Hebridean beach.
