Balance

uncertainty and unsteadiness persist,
the earth swallows her in a step,
her eyes closes the world before her,
her mind empties in meditation.

she breathes, she focuses, she lets go.
her pulse relaxes into a slumber,
she finally grasps hold of it;
the feeling of stability.

her mind regroups, her body stretches,
in mindfulness and consciousness,
she found herself in the chaos,
she breathes out in relief.

her eyes open and adjust to the light,
the earth now embraces her touch,
her mind heralds a fight for recovery,
she heals, she lives again.
