About 60 years ago, I used to beg my mom to bake bread. I guess that means you have to do all that kneading. I think maybe what I like especially is that yeast smell. I'm not sure.

Hello David, this is a feast in five lines—every syllable kneaded with meaning. I love how you’ve distilled indulgence, longing, and something almost sacred into a bite-sized masterpiece. Few words, yet they rise with flavor. Brilliant work and Congrats on POTD. Winter Blessings, MY Friend, Daniel

Nothing like savoring the aroma and taste of freshly baked bread, is there? Spot on, David, and congratulations on POTD. ~ Gershon

Agreed - thanks Gershon! Neither here nor there, but for 27 years, I worked in a neighborhood with great bakeries, and then lived in another neighborhood with great bakeries, but I forgot to scope out the bakeries near my retirement community. Oh well, probably better for my waist line.

Hey congrats. A potd. I think bakeries are heaven too!

Thanks Brandy, and yes, those cookies sound good! I've been doing some simple baking. My problem is I can't stop eating once I start. Last week was scones. I just finished some cornbread, and tomorrow, it's banana oat squares.

Thanks Tania! to me, bakeries taste and smell good, but also all the different pastries, breads, and cookies all seem to look really great too, all having different designs and colors.
