Bad Wolf Day

Whilst strolling through the woods one summer’s day, Her scarlet robe captured my lupine eye, And in her song my caution fell away, I ran to her and then I heard her cry. ‘You get away from me you big bad beast, You wicked wolf you go away from me! I’ll tell them all you stole my granny’s feast, And then they will never let you live free!’ I ran away, so angry at her words, And then I knew how I would get her back, Instead of hunting the rabbits and birds, I headed out toward her granny’s shack. In certain hope my plan just couldn’t fail But alas you all know the fairy tale. Form: English Sonnet
