Bad Dreams 2: The Awakening

(Please read the original Bad Dreams before this as this is a continuation of the first poem... Otherwise it won't make much sense)

The laughter has finally ceased
My eyes hold me captive
I see I'm at the bottom
The darkness has entrapped me
I survived the fall
I can't see where I'm at
I'm feeling all around me
Trying to get back
Hoping for a handle
A ladder or a rope
The only way back is up
Will to live my only hope
Fist goes to the mirror
Hand destroys the glass
I'm back in my own world
Now nothing keeps me trapped
Seven years of bad luck
Seems a worthwhile trade
Knowing now I can never look
At my eyes that will enslave

Thank you. I'm glad that you have enjoyed my writing. I'll be posting more tomorrow. I'm also taking suggestions on a topic for my next project if you care to weigh in. Oh and when you say that was a bad one are you saying that the writing was bad? Or is it bad meaning good? I'm just curious.
