Bad Dream

This must be a bad dream
I can’t be woken up from
The worst of dreams I’ve seen
And it goes on and on
Please wake me back to real
Don’t tell me you are gone
Your kiss can stop this reel
Rotating way too long
My darling love, please tell me
I’ve been asleep for years
I missed a lot of sun to see
Torrential rains spread tears
And they were dripping down slow
Across your window pane
And you were smiling, singing low
Trying to heal my pain.
