Backwards Thinking
Sometimes how you feel can change as often as the weather
Sometimes out of sight and out of mind don't go together
They say that absence makes the heart grow fonder
Perhaps that depends on which thoughts you ponder
With all that happens there is good and bad in everything
To every situation it all depends on what you bring
We all want to come out remembered for good
But we don't always act and speak like we should
The deepest thoughts weigh heavy on our mind
But our biggest worries should be left behind
Whatever you do, don't live in the past
Your present and future move way too fast
Regret is a shield from experiencing new
Opportunities that quickly become too few
Grasp each one but with open arms
To be open and free never harms
See with your soul, not your eyes
Indecision and regret you should despise
Your time to live is now.
Whether or not you know how
Learn along the way
Better you will be each day
Stronger inside
In others confide
The true path
Follows aftermath.
