Backwards Living

We go through the rain
Before the sun breaks the pain

Blood is shed
Before the soul is fed

We take a step forward
Just to take two backwards

We stress over everything before doing what we're told:
To let go and let God take control

We hold on to the people who we think are our friends
Until their true colors are revealed in the end
