Notes About The Poem

The scars of child abuse follow the victims sometimes like a trailer sometimes like a plow..... My Hope Is that no child is ever told by his/her parents when they are confronted with the reality of the abuse that it's their fault that they must be lying

Listen to poem:

Backscattering Redemption

Reflecting in my minds defining silence; It's amazing how loud it can be without violence; There are so many clever agents; sentient's within Conducting their works; influencing original sin Isolating thoughts with precise belligerence Stifling consciousness; destroying all innocence Un; and conscious thoughts confound Is this a nightmare; so profound? When this internalized backscattering redemption for my soul begins; I'm more than just a little bit curious; about how to make a true amends; These angelic thoughts; I feel the halo slipping down to this tightening noose; The alarm clock tones; a dream lost; I come around, still deeply a recluse

I can relate to this, so profound. "These angelic thoughts, I feel the halo slipping down to this tightening noose"-- wow.

I am truly happy that this one spoke to you. If you read the note that I have at the beginning of it it has a very definitive meaning for me. But the double entender that was also designed into it gives it a great deal of meaning to others besides myself. Above all else I wanted the piece to speak to each person that reads it in their own way. Thank you so much for your visit A.S.

Both fortunate and unfortunate I write more truth than fiction. Thank you very much for your kindness! Prior to this past year it had been almost 25 years since I had written a poem. Dealing with some lost luggage as of late in my muse. Warmly A.S.

This is a heavy one. This medium is such a cathartic one. I’ve healed a lot through poetry, this site helped so much, I hadn’t written in nearly a decade before stumbling upon it. The childhood abuse, I don’t think I’ve written yet about, how you can get over the abuse but never over not being believed. Powerful ink my friend. xomo

Mo I'm so terribly sorry that we share the darkness in both of our past. But I am forever grateful that it is led me to the kindness that I found in sharing my poetry. Even if it is under a pen name. Do me a favor enjoy how my pendulum swings from light to dark and use it in whatever way you need. With total respect A.S.

Dealing with hard truths through this medium it's kind of who I am. Even when those truths are my own. Thank you very much for taking the time to read it perhaps even twice.
