Back To School

Ring of full scale chromatic laughter,
Every voice with a touch of merriness.
The classroom shines,
in its fresh coat of paint...
Breath filled with smell of new books and starched uniforms.
Old and less familiar faces... shine and beam:
Excited to make new friends.
Lost feelings felt again...
Lost memories coming back to life...
Excitement echoes through every corridor.
A term ended with tears of farewell.
A month to end ourselves,
now a term has begun in excitement,
lighting yet again a beacon of hope.

As a teacher, I especially like this one. It rings so true. 'Tears of farewell' versus ' a beacon hope.' That's exactly how it is. A FAVE for me. :) gw
