Back To Keeping Money Under the Mattress

Back To Keeping Money Under the Mattress? By Elton Camp Way back before there was any FDIC People, of banks, were leery as can be For if your bank had to shut its door Your money was gone forevermore Now that banks charge a monthly fee Many keep cash at home as that’s free With the economy in such a bad shape A monthly bank charge folks can’t take Some rather risk being robbed by a thief Than to let the greedy banker bring grief Better to keep money in a rubber band Than into the banker’s grasping hand The big banks have mostly lost our trust Small local banks or S&L are now a must Keeping large amounts of cash isn’t wise But that people do shouldn’t bring surprise

Yep, that's why we have moved most of ours to community banks and will move the rest the instant they begin a monthly charge for a checking account. Elton
