Back To How It Was

Look into my eyes
and tell me what you see.
Do you see who I am
or what you can make me?
Do you see the pain
or the fake happiness
expected of me
I know we can't go back
but can't the future be better?!?!?!
I don't want to resent
my own mother forever!!!
I know I've made
my share of mistakes.
But mom, here me out!!!
I'll never be perfect!
Please don't turn your back.
 I can't believe it's so hard
just to talk to you,
but you don't understand!!!!!
