Back Itch

This days my phone never rests He is always texting me all kinds of treats Things seem to be looking up...well for him To me they are just in the bin Where i put them a long time ago Well, maybe not that long ago It was quite an adventure and affair That we loved as a pair But the lies started to pour Non stop every hour The heart became a playground that was always bruised No more did we have the same views It had to go, all of it The pain was unbearable in every bit Alone felt better, it feels better To live life happy and not always bitter To wake up and not the feel the burden Of a love that's only hurt laden

This is an excellent poem - the rhyme and emotion create a vivid and strong feel. Very good, girl! Oh, first line, 'these' instead of 'this' and second line, did you want 'treats' or 'threats'? Either way, I truly enjoyed it and believe it is top of the line ... CayCay

thank you CayCay. yes it should be "these". I need to correct that. I meant to use treats because am talking about all the nice sweet things he is doing for me/texting me trying to win me back, lol.
