Notes About The Poem

Back In Time

If I could travel back in time, who would I want to meet
Go on back to ancient times, see the pyramids complete
Maybe that is back to far, give Nazareth a visit
In a stable see a baby born, don't have to ask who is it

So travel in His future then, see him walk on water
Turns and tells them how His Dad, will stop the Jewish slaughter
Quite a crowd did gather, so it's time to have some food
What He can do with fish and bread, brings quite a few unglued

Moving further on in time, the Romans do the deed
Put Him high up on the cross, His eye still on those in need
He will rise again from in the cave, no need to make a fuss
He has not really left the earth, He is in each of us
