Back In My Little Town

There is so much unrest today as things now come to an edge
As everyone has something to say of the memories we dredge
So as I step back and look around I see such anger and sadness
Built upon unstable ground now it's all become just a big mess

Neither side willing to give in as our children look from a distance
It's all really such a sin, the lose of a loved one being so immense
But no one is able to see the pain for the anger has so taken hold
From all this what shall we gain and finally come in from the cold

I have no opinion or answer as I have not walked in their shoes
But I will not stir this pot as I see night after night on the news
Yet with no true leadership in sight it only leaves one other way
The only way we will win this fight is if we all sit down and pray

No problem is too great to Our Loving and Merciful Lord above
Prayer kindles a special trait one that will fill your heart with love
So sad to see any life so tragically taken remembering each by name
That these lives would be forsaken will only add tragedy to the shame

Galatians 6:2-3
Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing,
he deceiveth himself.

So true Vincent. It is all so sad.
