Baby's Father

I never thought you'd be just a baby's father.
How can you call yourself a man then turn your back on your own daughter.
I wish you had to tell her to her face that you don't love her.
So you could wipe the tears from her cheeks while you make up an answer.
I can only hold her while she cries tears that I cannot relate to.
And make excuses for you of why you're missing so she don't hate you.
It’s not fair for her to be forced to deal with emotions she can't handle.
And the worst part is you never even gave her a chance at all to love you.

That father, gave you a child! No he should not have left. I support you in loving your daughter and you can marry a fine man one day. Be very glad you were able to have a child. Live life for you both. One day, you will have her grandchildren. Your daughter can live without him.you can be Mom and Dad or marry. Life is far from over for you. Best wishes, Panagioys xxx

Wow Bessie! This cuts the heart! It really makes me feel for this poor baby and want to slap the so called father. This poem is doing its job of invoking those feelings in readers. Keep writing great stuff!
