Baby Jesus
You held my life in your hand
There I was in your palm as a child
I’ve never felt such a warm embrace
I’ve never since, such love from your grace
I remember very little from those nappy days
But I know you did everything to make them
Such happy days
You hold my hand now in yours
A firm grip, and still a loving gaze
And I now comprehend
For the road ahead in a gruelling test
Your love will carry me on this treacherous quest
Man is a creature of habit and not easily swayed
But Father please forgive them
And love them as you did your only child
